At ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL, every detail is sculpted from pure Torne River ice – luminous walls, striking sculptures and a bar that feels more like art than architecture. The design is ever-changing, always exquisite and always extraordinary. 

When our guests arrive at ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL, they get equipped with warm capes and gloves before they step inside one of the unique venues. And they are not just entering another bar, but are walking into an exclusive ice experience provided to them by the wild Torne River.

The walls, the luminous bar and striking ice sculptures inside ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL are all made of pure ice, making each visit truly unforgettable. The design is beautiful and exotic, and it’s also safe.
For a week each year, the ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL is closed for renovation, and during these days no guests are allowed in the bar. This is when a new, striking design is developed, under the watchful eye of ICEHOTEL’s creative director. Each creation follows a strict process, to make sure deadlines are met and also to protect visitors and keep them safe when visiting the ICEBAR. 

Ice is part of a natural eco-system and even in subzero temperatures, ice will evaporate. The ice is also affected by our guests. It’s impossible not to touch the amazing artworks - in fact, we encourage our visitors to explore our frozen, luminous interior with their hands. 

And as the ice in the ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL changes, so does the design. The design team creates new ideas together with the franchisor and the franchisee. Even though local conditions such as security and working environment must be taken into consideration, the main focus is to give the guests an extraordinary experience, surrounded by exquisite art work and architecture. 

There is always a reason to visit ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL, as the design never looks the same in two locations and it’s always created with a unique and edgy twist!
